Defining terms & Glossaries

Many scientific papers and dissertations include technical terms that are specified in a brief list of key terms. There terms are interpreted for reader’s benefit. Definitions of these technical jargons must be specific and must follow the scholarly language. When defining a term, scholars can select one of the following three options, as generally suggested by Universities:
1. List all key terms or technical phrases in a section titled “Definition of Terms”, in/before the first chapter.
2. List all key terms in a glossary, in appendix.
3. The common terms, acronyms and technical jargons must be defined upon the immediate application in the paper.
